Going Darker

It’s always hard when you’re at the point when you must go to darker tonal values.  That’s where I am now.  I’m going darker, deeper and restraining myself from worrying about the lighter areas of my drawing.  When I squint at the photo of Baby, our Senegal parrot, I realize that I’m nowhere near capturing the full range of lights and darks.  I’m still using my 4B pencil and holding back for now on using the blending stump too much.
