End in Sight

While I suppose a drawing is never actually “finished”, I sense that the end is in sight for Baby, as I’m finally drawing in his metal perch.  It’s a nice diversion to focus on rendering the brittle mettle texture in pencil strokes instead of the smudging and wider, fatter strokes I used to create the bird’s downy plumage.  His feet are now fully formed, though a bit more darker tones would make them stand out a bit more.  I look forward to my next drawing:  a more impressionistic still life (and maybe even with some color!).
