Last time I was taking liberties with the original image in my color pencil drawing.  This time I continue to do so, altering the arc of a sliver of red onion, adding and shifting the placement of peas, adjusting a potato.  I’m effectively not doing a photo-realistic copy of this still life, but my interpretation of it so that it looks the way I want it to.  The original photo becomes an inspiration only.  I’m not sure how I feel about this, especially since the photo itself has been so artfully styled.
