This small vignette is merely an exercise in tightening my watercolor strokes. It feels okay, but, is much less spontaneous. I’m torn between quick painting in watercolor versus careful planning and steady application of the paints. At this point, my more natural inclination is to plan and to paint carefully. Maybe by doing so I’m missing out on something. Time will tell. I’m most pleased with the ceramic vase with the dried pussy willow stems.
